Frequently Asked Quetions
FAQ
1. What is TrackTagger?
TrackTagger is a revolutionary device that allows directors or producers to mark key moments during the filming process. These markers then translate into visible waveform shapes during post-production, allowing editors to identify good, okay, or bad material instantly.2. How does TrackTagger work?
TrackTagger consists of two devices - a transmitter and a receiver. The director uses the transmitter, which sends signals to the receiver connected to the sound recording device or camera. These signals create specific shapes in the waveform, denoting good, okay, or bad segments.3. What kind of devices is TrackTagger compatible with?
TrackTagger is designed to work with any device that can receive an audio signal via a 1/8" audio jack. This includes most sound mixers, cameras, and audio recording devices.4. Does TrackTagger support timecode sync?
Yes, our Gen 2 version of TrackTagger supports jam-sync audio timecode. It can also record a wave file directly onto the device which will work in sync with any cameras recording timecode.5. How many TrackTagger transmitters can sync with a single receiver?
In the Gen 1 model, one receiver is synced to one transmitter. However, in the Gen 2 model, any number of devices can be synced to a camera or other timecode device, allowing multiple individuals to share their input.6. Can I use TrackTagger as a slate if my camera doesn't support timecode?
Yes, the Gen 2 TrackTagger can function as a slate. It can play a sound and light up a button when you press a button on the rear.7. How much does TrackTagger cost?
